Unfortunately, tickets for this year’s performance of Much Ado About Nothing are now sold out.
I can’t tell you how much I appreciated the Opera evening at Stanley Hall. The setting of your house is SO romantic, all that water and the beautiful gates and the footbridges and the pigeonniers around the pool, the peacocks and all the chickens. Bliss! And so wonderfully unspoilt compared to other opera venues.
I have been to most productions… eagerly anticipated and enjoyed enormously especially in such lovely surroundings. One gets such a warm welcome on arrival and from then on everything is well organised and friendly, smiles everywhere and never an apparent hiccup! Sincere thanks for giving me and my friends so much pleasure
Apart from being magnificently performed, your productions are always so much fun… Stanley Hall is a jewel in the country’s cultural bling, and we need it!
Thank you very much for giving us the opportunity to see Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin – it was a thrill to see the breathtaking opera and watch the quick-fingered orchestra. The workshop before really brought me close to the story and I liked learning to waltz.
That was the most magical evening… our guests who don’t know Essex were totally entranced by the setting, the house, the garden and of course thoroughly enjoyed Don Pasquale. The production was superb with the amusing opening scene setting the atmosphere for the whole performance.
“Well done for all that you have achieved over the last 12 years. Stanley Hall Opera is a real gem in Essex.”
